Dr. Hirata earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Maryland (UMMS). He also earned a Masters of Science in Epidemiology and Preventative Medicine from UMMS. He did an Internship at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital and then completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at UMMS where he was selected Chief Radiology Resident. Next, he completed the esteemed Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at the University of California in San Diego with Dr. Donald Resnick. He has engaged in several research projects and made numerous scholarly presentations at national radiology meetings. A member of numerous professional radiology associations, he joined Annapolis Radiology Associates in 2013 to specialize in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Interventional Procedures.
